Growing up in Key West provided a lot of inspiration for me as an artist, especially the sea and sky.
I studied with various artists there and won awards for works in acrylics and mixed media in local and regional art shows.
Later, I decided to explore photography and knew it was exactly how I wanted to express myself artistically.
I love digital arts, and I still love to hand color black & white photographs by hand with oils.
Experimenting with combinations of imaging and processing techniques allows me to fuse realism with my own personal vision. Communicating through images is a fun and rewarding process.
I want to draw the viewer into the scene in a way that makes them see with perspective and emotion that they would not see otherwise.
I thank God, the ultimate Creator and Artist, for the opportunity to do this. My biggest inspirations are the breathtaking landscapes and skies He paints for us daily.

I love the way color can affect your emotions and your senses, and
I love the drama of black and white.

Cynthia Burkhardt's award winning photography has been exhibited at fine art galleries including the Vero Beach Museum of Art. Her work has been on the cover of the American Frame Corporation Catalog, she's been featured by various travel websites, and been chosen front page featured artist twice by Imagekind online galleries.
Show schedules include fine art exhibitions, juried competitions, and fine art festivals. She also donates photographs to various charitable organizations. Cynthia's work can be seen in business establishments across Florida.
